At UniQuest we love a birthday and this year we’re especially excited to celebrate that our UQ hub in Manila has turned one!
Last April, we opened our Asia Pacific regional hub in Manila to meet increased demand from prospective international students for real-time support. In partnership with our UK-based team, we achieve conversion continuity. Together, our teams in Manila and the UK deliver follow-the-sun support across all channels at all times for the hundreds of thousands of prospective students we support on behalf of our university partners each year. In its first year alone, the Manila team has managed more than 110,000 communications with prospective international students across phone, email, and instant messaging platforms.
These conversations with prospective students, undertaken when they choose to engage, have positively impacted the results that the UniQuest student conversion service has on our college and university partners’ recruitment goals. UQ partners who began to benefit from the Manila hub upon its opening in April 2018 experienced an average of roughly 50% growth in direct communications with students. This extended reach, alongside additional service developments, helped UniQuest achieve increased conversion rates to enrollment for all its partners in 2018.

When Daniel Perez, a tenured member of UniQuest’s client services team, relocated to Manila to develop the hub to the same high standards as our UK operation, he was starting with a team of six. Since then, the Manila hub has grown to 20 fantastic team members, and counting, who work closely with our UK team to deliver excellent support to students and drive the best results for our partners in the US and UK. The team regularly receives brilliant student feedback like “Very pleased to have spoken with you. I was moved by your excellent customer service” and “Great service indeed”. Complementing UniQuest’s student journey expertise and proven engagement model, is the team’s genuine passion for helping students.
Sigrid, a Student Enrollment Advisor since last April, commented:
